As many of our students and ex-students are aware, since our company was founded more than 20 years ago, a division of this school has focused exclusively on language training for the armed forces and law enforcement. This means that many students who would normally be taking English classes with us are now deployed in field hospitals, nursing homes and with transport and other support tasks. Like everyone, we are enormously grateful for the selfless contribution of these men and women. A very sincere “Thank You” from all of us here at mission english.
We are well aware that this selfless sacrifice means a threat of exposure, difficult conditions and other hardships, including separation from family. Giving up normal routines, especially regular English language classes, must not seem too great a difficulty; however, we also know the significant personal investment of time and energy that our students put into their learning day by day and week by week. It can be a struggle to find the motivation to keep improving a foreign language when the gains seem so painfully slow.
In recognition of these efforts and in order to provide some basic support and keep alive our students’ motivation to continue learning and improving English, this week we will start an initiative called “no-cost English”. These are online group classes to prepare the exams at SLP 2222 and SLP 3333 (level 4 students welcome) and they are absolutely free. These classes are offered by our most experienced teachers and are on a first-come, first-served basis.
